But there will be no price difference at the same rate, the manufacturers say, because the new trials are taking place. They say that will take place on the same day and that a month's supply will be free of competition.
The manufacturer, Bayer AG, plans to launch a generic version of the drug in the United States by the end of January.
In the meantime, Pfizer, the makers of the drug, plans to expand the availability of its popular painkiller, Vioxx, in the United States. If that does happen, the manufacturer will release its generic version, which is currently sold as Avelox.
As for the other drugs that Bayer will be selling in the United States, they will be offered to the American public only. It may not even be possible to get a prescription drug voucher from a pharmacy for the same medicine. But if they do, the Food and Drug Administration will still be able to sell the drug.
But it's not clear whether the company will be able to sell the drug to a general public or to the general public. The generic version of Celebrex will only be available to consumers, so the Food and Drug Administration will continue to evaluate whether or not it will be able to sell the drug to the general public.
